Martin Schulz: Let's put it this way, I'm doing well, the country and the SPD are doing badly.
How big is the black eye for democracy or traditional democratic parties in this EU election?
Those are deep blue eyes from the blows we have to take. Ownership is increasing. But the good news: They can be stopped. Because the Democrats still have a strong majority. But we also need to be cautious. Democracy can only win if it has enough defenders.
The Social Democrats lost a little on the low end, while the Christian Democrats gained a little on the low end. The Greens and Liberals achieved disastrous results, with only the right-wing populists making massive gains. What impact does this have on the EU's parliamentary work?
