The health benefits of forests have always been underestimated!
Lungs, musculoskeletal system and psyche experienced in Jungle Nice treat. The Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Spa Association has been contributing to the development of medicinal forests and spas since 2013.
In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, three medicinal forests have already been established, in the seaside health resort of Heringsdorf, in the climatic health resort of Plau am See and in the resort of Klink, as well as health forests in the coastal health resorts of Heringsdorf and Graal Moritz. These innovative health offerings are particularly well received by patients and guests as well as local residents.

Due to legal entrenchment in the MV state forest law, medicinal and spa forests are comprehensively protected in this federal state. Specific medicinal forests and spa forests fulfill the promises of quality assured based on specific criteria. The prerequisite is the forest report prepared by Landesforst. On the basis of this report, the head of the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Rostock will prepare a medical report. The interaction of these reports makes it possible to take individual therapeutic measures for specific indications. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, medicinal forests and spa forests can only be viewed in a state-recognized health resort or recreation area.
The area of u200bu200bthe medicinal and spa forests of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ranges from 5 hectares to about 220 hectares. Ideally, trained foresters can work holistically and on an indicational basis with patients and guests individually or in treatment groups.

A respected international jury, made up of European-level health experts, honors the pioneering work in developing medicinal and spa forests with very high quality standards, a health-oriented focus and accompanying medical research as a leading project in Europe.
On the 117th German Bathing Day in October 2021 at the Baltic Sea resort and spa town of Kneipp in Göhren, the MV Bathing Association will receive a very special award, the “European Spas Innovation Award” in the “Destination” category. Ms. Sheila Missosi, Secretary General of the European Spa Association ESPA based in Brussels, handed the award in person to Ulrich Langer, President of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Spa.
