Bad luck for Austrian tennis player Philip Misolek!
The 21-year-old was due to play his first round match against Switzerland’s Stan Wawrinka at around 9pm on Tuesday at the ATP 250 tournament in Umag, Croatia.
However, due to heavy rain, the match had to be postponed and rescheduled for Wednesday evening (not earlier than 5 p.m./.Live tape >>>) to be rescheduled.
Meanwhile, Sebastian Ovner plays his 16th against Australian Alexei Popyrin (Not earlier than 5 p.m. /Live tape >>>).
In the evening Dominic Thiem will play against top seed Czech Jiri Liska (ATP-33) in his round of 16 and wants to reach the quarter-finals by all means (not earlier than 9 p.m. /. /Live tape >>>).
Wisburn is inferior in doubles
The pair of Wisborn/Arneaudo, who had to compete against the Czech pair Djebawi/Leczka – who are the latter in both competitions in Umag – can finish their match before the rain hits on Tuesday.
But in the end, the Austrian and his partner in Monaco were narrowly behind 4: 6, 6: 7 (4) and had to say goodbye in the round of 16. From ÖTV’s point of view, Philip Oswald is still represented in the doubles competition, along with partner Marcelo Demolener (BRA).
The duo will face Dutch duo Arends/Pel on Wednesday (no earlier than 4:30pm CEST).
