MIUI 14: These Xiaomi phones are getting the update

Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 has one of the longest life cycles in Android interface history. The update was released in 2020. In 2021, there was a gradual update called MIUI 12.5 and in the same year a new improved variant for some devices. The MIUI 13 update came in early 2022. Since then, Xiaomi has been updating most of its devices to the new version.

There were also rumors about MIUI 13.5. However, the latest reports indicate that there will be no additional update this time around. Instead, Xiaomi seems to want to launch MIUI 14 directly and the release seems imminent. However, there is no specific launch date for MIUI 14 yet. The update may come before the end of the year. This is also supported by the fact that the list of Xiaomi devices that will receive the new update has just been leaked. It comes from Xiaomi system apps which contain some references to MIUI 14.

According to reports, MIUI 14 will officially land on Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro. Therefore, the update will be announced in November. Other devices will probably start updating from December or January 2023. Considering the size of the list, this will go a long way. Most smartphones may receive the MIUI 14 update in the form of Android 13.
