At the end of September, Sick AG CEO Robert Bauer will move to the top of the Supervisory Board. There he succeeds Klaus M. Bockenberger. Robert Bauer joined the company in 1994 as Head of the Research and Development Division in Automation Technology. As a result, he chaired the Research and Development Department of the Executive Board and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2000, which he has chaired since 2006.
His successor is now the original Swedish Mats Jokstorp. He studied a computer scientist in the company when he took on Sick IPV. Since 2007 he has been responsible for Vision Products and subsequently the Group’s sales operations, he was appointed to the Board of Directors for Sales and Services in 2013. He has been serving as a Board Member for Product and Marketing since 2021.
Niels Saysen is a new member of the Board of Directors, who will be managing the technology and digitization department. The thoughtful physicist came to Sick via Bosch and Dräger Safety in 2017. As a member of the management team, he has been responsible for gas and particle analysis solution innovations since 2018.
