With the update to Firefox 102.0.1, Mozilla is fixing the problem that Firefox on Windows can no longer create desktop shortcuts if the address of the website in question contains a character that is not allowed for file names, such as a colon.
When using a dark theme, there is no more white flashing when opening the bookmarks sidebar.
When checking spelling for multiple languages and there was content in both Latin and non-Latin alphabets, it now works correctly for all languages.
Also fixed the bug where the “Clear cookies and site data when Firefox quit” option would reset itself every time Firefox was launched, which was just a rendering error but obviously confusing for users of this option.
On Windows, the tooltip color has been improved and Flatpak for Linux no longer displays a second Firefox icon in the Dock after starting Firefox.
Also fixed an issue with unwanted scrolling in the web console, as well as two possible causes of crashes and an issue with the automated test dummy tool.
