Bitter setback for Austria Klagenfurt in the fight for the championship group: Bundesliga top scorer Sinan Karwina (10 goals, 6 assists) will not be available for Carinthians in the near future. The striker suffered a muscle injury in his right thigh in the first leg against Blau-Weiss Linz (2-0) and, according to Klagenfurt, will be out for “several weeks”.

On Sunday, Carwina described his substitution after half an hour as a precautionary measure. “I noticed after one or two sprints that things weren't going the way I wanted them to. It was better for me to get out.” Carwina's replacement, Aaron Sky Schwartz, scored twice to secure victory for the home team. The flash loan is likely to play an important role in the next few weeks.
Klagenfurt currently ranks fourth with 33 points and has good cards in the race for the top spot in the qualifiers among the top six teams. However, there are two difficult tasks ahead for Peter Pacholt's side with matches against Red Bull Salzburg and SK Rapid at the end of the regular season.
