On May 12, a brilliant concert took place in Maria Enzersdorf’s Südstadtkirche. Participants included the vocal ensemble Indigo and Neue Streicher.
Maria Enzersdorf. The program included parts of “Messiah”, from Music for Fireworks and Concerto Grosso Op 6/7. The “Zadok the Priest” choir is Handel’s coronation music, which had been performed a few days earlier in London at the coronation of Charles III. been played. The combination of Handel’s music with the vibraphone sounded especially beautiful and interesting.
Ingrid Wendell provided humorous anecdotes about the esteemed composer’s manners. The concert was very well attended and the artists received a lot of applause and appreciation.
