Following the successful lectures and workshops last fall and spring, the “Nature in the Park” series of events will continue this fall. “In cooperation with the experts of the “Nature in the Park” initiative, interesting facts about ecological design and the maintenance of green spaces will once again be conveyed,” says city councillor Sascha Jabali-Ade, responsible for nature and environmental protection.
The autumn series will start on September 25 (from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.) with free admission to the Volkshaus Maria Gail. The topic: “Homemade seeds! What your home garden has to offer. The goal is to harvest not only fruits from your own vegetables, but also seeds for next year. “It makes you independent, gives you joy and helps preserve the diversity of varieties,” says city councilor Jabali Ada. Lecturer Heidemarie Pirker explains how you can continue to propagate your favorite varieties and which varieties are particularly suitable for beginners.
- October 16 (6pm to 8pm) at the lebensRAUM at Postgasse 6. This explains how you can get healthy garden soil by turning your garden and kitchen waste into compost.
- On November 13 (6pm to 8pm) in the Paracelsus Hall of the Town Hall the theme will be “Healthy Harvest from the Home Garden”.
