It’s still unclear if the 29-year-old will make the team for the Los Angeles Lakers’ test match against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, ESPN reported on Thursday evening (local time). This will be the fourth of a total of six warm-up games for the record champions before the upcoming NBA season. Schroder missed the first three games and the first two weeks of practice.
New Lakers coach Darwin Hamm said he wants to “throw his rookie straight into the deep water of the pool” so he can get into an NBA rhythm as quickly as possible.
Strong performances in EM
Schroder will play a second season with the Los Angeles Lakers next season. He captained the national team with a strong performance and bronze medal at the European Championships in the summer. During the tournament it became known that the Californians wanted to re-sign the point guard.
