“NCIS”: The Australian branch is coming
Paramount + and Network Ten, the CBS team’s streaming services, are currently developing a spin-off format called “NCIS: Sydney”. The Australian version of Gibbs, Hetty and Gove is scheduled for release in 2023. The creators can expect energetic support from Shane Brennan. He previously produced NCIS, now produces NCIS: Los Angeles, and is an Australian.
Nothing is known about the cast already selected. Casting is still ongoing. Beverly McCorvey, executive vice president of ViacomCBS Australia and New Zealand, said the new spin-off would “connect the overall ‘NCIS’ storyline as new Australian characters and locations are introduced”.
Will the well-known characters of the US series appear in “NCIS: Sydney”? That’s what a high level of determination is all about. Although Gibbs is already retired, there are many characters who can save the day. After all, international investigations have always been carried out. For example, Afghanistan has repeatedly been an organization for “NCIS” and “NCIS: Los Angeles”.
