New branch managers – placement in the Wiener Neustädter Sparkasse team

At the beginning of July, Wiener Neustädter Sparkasse cast a shadow over its management: Arjun Babak He becomes manager of the new branch of Zehnerviertel & Bad Fischau. Michael Storm, who was previously in charge of this area, will take over the management of the branch in Ain Allah and in Egendorf. His predecessor in this region Martin Haasbecomes the new branch manager of the largest branch, which is the customer center in the city center. Christina Zelingerwho managed the customer center on Neunkirchner Straße for five years, is now present for commercial customers within the Marion Rehberger-Horvath team.

“We are a big driver of footfall in the city centre, not least with the new MaXi Burg,” says Martin Haas. As reported, the free childcare center (every Saturday from 9am to 2pm) has recently moved to Neunkirchner Straße 6 next to Sparkasse.

Sparkasse is currently working on a special addition for customers on Neunkirchner Straße: about ten free parking spaces for customers will be created in the inner courtyard, which will soon be accessible via Brodtischgasse.

2023 is a successful year

Despite the difficult economic conditions, 2023 was a very good year for Sparkasse, according to CEOs Klaus Lehner and Christian Spitzer. With total assets of €1.7 billion, the operating result is €27.3 million. Shareholders' equity rose by 14 percent to 155 million euros. In total, the savings bank manages more than two billion euros from its clients. The number has increased by about 1,000 a year in recent years – and its 63,000th customer was welcomed just last week.

An important topic for the Board of Directors is “employer branding”; Sparkasse is currently certified as a “Family Friendly Employer” and a “Great Place to Work”. The latter is thanks to the very good results of a survey of 222 employees (including the real estate subsidiary S-Real), where nine out of ten said, among other things, that they “want to work here for a long time”.

The branch in Traiskirchen is currently being completely refurnished. Planning is underway to expand the Ain Allah branch. The Savings Bank Hall is also being updated: a new sound system will be installed in the summer, and the parquet floor in the gallery will be replaced. By the way, the hall is on track to record a record 65 days of booking for events this year.
