NNew elections and the commitment of young farmers marked this year's general meeting in Obersiebenbrunn.
The general meeting of the Marchfeld warehouse cooperative took place at the Agricultural College Obersiebenbrunn. The focus was on the new elections for the management board, the two vice-presidents and the supervisory board. “It is particularly gratifying that seven young farmers have agreed to take on responsibility as managers in our cooperative,” emphasized Chairman Alfred Esser.
Managing Director Rudolf Brandhuber presented the balance sheet for 2023, which shows sales of around EUR 87 million and a decrease of around EUR 15 million. Brandhuber stressed that the tense economic situation also represents a major challenge for the warehouse cooperative. “We are therefore continuing to follow a strict savings and investment program in order to prepare for the future.” The optimization of the cooperative's structures began in the spring.
As a guest speaker, RWA Board Director Johannes Schuster emphasized the importance of cooperation and synergy in the current economic situation. Despite the difficult situation, the Marshfield warehouse is optimistic and looking to the future.
