Rumors about GTA 6 continue to simmer! While we eagerly await a new trailer, new information continues to emerge that gives us a look behind the scenes of the upcoming blockbuster.
A particularly interesting rumor is about the possibility of playing the GTA 6 campaign with friends.
Co-op mode in GTA 6? New leaks give hope
A recent post on Reddit mentioned a so-called “Player Action Manager,” which controls various actions of characters in the game. Entries such as “Buddy Comms” and “Buddy Ping” are particularly interesting. These terms indicate that there may be some form of communication and cooperation between multiple players.
The idea that the two main characters, Jason and Lucia, could wander around Vice City together is very tempting for many fans. Features such as Downed Self Revive suggest a co-op system where players can revive each other, similar to other co-op games.
Or just an AI companion?
However, there are also other explanations for these leaks. Some players suspect that the terms “Buddy” and “Buddy Ping” could refer to an AI-controlled companion. For example, you can control Lucia as an AI character while playing as Jason yourself.
Of course, this information has not been officially confirmed yet. It remains to be seen if Rockstar Games will reveal more details about the co-op mode in a future trailer or announcement.
The cooperative mode in GTA 6 will be a revolution in the series and will expand the gameplay experience several times. The possibility of wandering around Vice City with friends and having adventures together sounds very tempting.
GTA 6 is scheduled to be released in fall 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series
