Spotify has announced an exciting new feature for the streaming service: In the future, Live Audio will be integrated into the app – previously this was only available via the separate Greenroom app.

Since the launch of Greenroom, the experience for listening to live content has been greatly improved with several updates, according to Spotify. With the integration into the main app, the feature should be accessible to more users.

With Spotify Live, musicians and podcasters, similar to the Clubhouse or Twitter Spaces, have the opportunity to go live so they can stream small concerts and the like to a digital audience.
Listeners can also actively participate in the shows with chat comments. It is still unclear when the new feature will be integrated into Spotify for all musicians and podcasters. It appears that only Spotify’s chosen partners were able to offer live content initially.
