During the general meeting of the “Tiroler-Adler Runde” a new leadership committee and president for the next two years were elected – the presidency went to Karl Christian Handel.
Tyrol. 61 Tyrolean entrepreneurs from various sectors are committed to the “Tiroler-Adler Runde” to ensure optimal conditions for a strong Tyrolean economy in harmony with sustainable values. The diversity of entrepreneurs that unites this independent group is represented admirably by the new Board of Directors. Karl Christian Handel, managing partner of the Tyrolean family business HANDL TYROL, has been elected as the new president. He succeeds Klaus Mark (CEO MK Illumination), who will remain on the Board of Directors as Press Secretary after a four-year term. Joe Empel (Managing Director EMPL Fahrzeugwerk) takes over as the new Vice President. Additional additions to the Board of Directors include Gerald Unterberger (Managing Partner of the Unterberger Group) and Treasurer Gottfried Sint (Sint Beteiligungs GmbH).
President Handel is pleased with the confidence placed in him by the members: “It is a great honor for me to be able to represent the interests of the Tiroler-Adler Runde over the next two years. I would like to thank my predecessor and now press spokesman Klaus Mark very much for his commitment. Another special thanks goes to founding member Ingeborg Freudenthaler, who served in Board of Directors for 21 years and played a major role in the formation of the “Tiroler-Adler Runde”. During the general meeting, outgoing Board members, including Vice-Chairman Alois Schranz, Manfred Blitzer and Peter Grüner, who has served as Treasurer for more than 16 years, were also thanked for their commitment.
For the Tyrolean economy
“I realize that I bear a great responsibility here and I promise to exercise my presidency with a great sense of responsibility and humility.”says Handel. Together with his colleagues on the Board of Directors, Handel intends to devote all his energy to strengthening the Tyrolean economy and society in a spirit of cooperation in the coming years. Innovative food for thought will be provided through discussion formats and events such as the annual Tyrolean Adler Forum. This year, the independent platform is focusing its thematic focus on “The Potential of the Workforce of the Future – Artificial Intelligence and Smart Work.”
