Neymar before leaving Paris Saint-Germain: Superstar appears to be getting a huge amount in a settlement

Paris Saint-Germain paid 222 million euros in the summer of 2017 for the services of the Brazilian star. His departure should now equal nearly as much for the French capital’s club.

In a meeting between PSG and Neymar’s father, the modalities of a possible exit were said to have been discussed. Neymar would be open to a move, but only on the condition that the club settle the obligations of around €200m resulting from the contract. Neymar is linked to Paris until 2027.

In view of this fact, a Brazilian loan is perhaps the most realistic solution. In this case, PSG will take over the part of the salary (net 40 million euros per year) that is not covered by the losing club.

As explained by ‘El País’, Neymar is said to have told PSG insiders that he is offended by the club and is hoping for a chance at another big club. Accordingly, the 30-year-old dreams of returning to FC Barcelona.
