Personnel and structural issues prevent Joy-Khan from repairing
United Radio is said to be using temporary staff to carry out most of this work, which created additional problems. In most cases, this is a question for newcomers who have been briefly trained in the task of repairing switch controllers and who have no special knowledge. In addition, a large number of employees are said to be constantly recruiting and training new employees as they only stay in the job for a short period of time.
There are additional difficulties in managing repairs at Joy-Cons, as the employee service provider who provided the staff for the repair service has repeatedly fired people shortly before the deadline for the permanent position of the client. Nintendo also exerts massive pressure, which, in addition to problems with staff, is another reason for errors in repairs.
Among other things, Nintendo offered new replacement devices to every customer who returned their Joy-Cons due to problems in the years 2017 to 2018, but later dropped it. After that, the repair service provider must repair the defects in each pair of controllers that come in, and the manufacturer service provider must repair 90 percent of the controllers within four days.
This is not the first time in the United States that problems with Nintendo’s warranty cases have been reported. United Radio works on defective switch consoles. There are already cases where customer consoles have stored games and returned data with other users’ account data or even deleted all data on the console as a result of these issues.
