For Nintendo Switch release In March 2017, the console was equipped with a handful of exclusive AAA games; titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild were at the forefront at the time. However, such launches almost exclusively come from within the company; third-party developers initially shunned Nintendo's console due to the disappointing Wii U, which eventually became one of the most successful games of all time.

That's set to change with the Nintendo Switch 2: as noted leaker Paul Gale reports on X/Twitter , some “major third-party developers are working on major game releases for Nintendo's next console launch.” So the Nintendo Switch 2 should feature some early, parallel releases as well as exclusive titles.
