Robert Kratke was stuck in traffic for hours on his way from Croatia to Austria and documented the unnerving wait.
Croatia, Austria. “Well, I have nothing else to do,” Ö3 presenter Robert Kratke commented, commenting on his situation in the huge traffic jam on the way from Croatia to Austria. The radio star documented his nerve-wracking comeback trip from his vacation on Instagram and let his fans take part in a patience test. Even shortly before driving, he seemed to suspect something bad when he wrote that he was looking forward to the trip, like an appointment with a dentist. He was still filming from his hotel room – everything was still fine. After hours he found himself in the chaos of traffic jams …

“Obviously they will drive there again.”
Already in the middle of the week, the ÖAMTC warned of heavy return traffic: especially at the Slovenian-Croatian border, waiting times would be several hours, it said in a broadcast. This is what happened to Robert Kratke, who left for Austria on Saturday night and had to especially wait at border crossings, as in Rouba. The Ö3 star experienced an emotional rollercoaster: sometimes he sang loudly with songs from the car radio in anticipation of home, at times he seemed excited and at times relaxed. Sometimes he sticks his foot out the window or films with his cell phone from the hood of a car.

So he would sometimes play hip-hop, jazz, country, relax, or “get involved” in techno – depending on the mood. And she always seems to be on the wrong track: Kratke was not spared that feeling of traffic jams, too: “Obviously they’re driving there again.” “9:48 PM, planned arrival time at 3:09 AM tomorrow for 555 km,” his GPS said.

Then we did it! Finally, the Ö3 star arrives at Stein an der Donau at 3:30 a.m. and appears “thumbs up” on camera again, before the Insta story is exhausted.
