Magdeburg/Dur – 1. FC Magdeburg will get a second Schorck: In addition to sporting director Otmar Schorck, Tim Schorck will also work with the second division club in the new season.
“My son Tim will work in scouting alongside Rico Balzer in the future,” FCM sporting director said on Wednesday of the new staff.
The father explained about his son's work: “He has worked with us intensively over the past few weeks.” Tim Schork already has experience in professional football. The 34-year-old was sporting director of third division club SV Waldhof Mannheim until March 2024. He previously worked there as a team planner, sporting coordinator and chief scout.

This is not the first time father and son Schork have worked together in Magdeburg. Both were already under contract with SV Sandhausen at the same time: Ottmar as sporting director and Thiem as assistant coach of the second team.
