Qualifying starts on Tuesday
All other players participating in the singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions must qualify on Tuesday. In singles, it is played in groups of three and four, with the first-placed teams then playing against the second-placed teams in a playoff for 32 free places on the Center Court. Andreas Levinko, Gardos and Maciej Kolodziejczyk are the top seeds in their group, with Julian Rzehawczyk and Liu Zhenlong both ranked second.
In the women's singles competition, it would be difficult on paper for anyone from the ÖTTV circuit to make up ground. Caroline Mischek and Anastasia Sterner are in second place in groups of four, Nina Skerbens is in third place and Liu Yuan is in fourth place.
The top seed in the men's singles is French Olympic bronze medalist Felix Lebrun, ahead of Sweden's Olympic silver medalist Trulls Moregaarde, Germany's Patrik Franziska and compatriot and defending champion Dang Qiu. Polkanova is preceded by Szöcs. She is succeeded by Frenchman Yuan Jia Nan and German Nina Mittelham, vice-champion of Europe in Munich 2022.
