After the Olympic season, there was a complete change in the sporting leadership of the ÖSV Alpine team!
After head coaches Christian Mitter (women) and Andreas Poulcher (men) have already announced their departures at the end of the season, Patrick Rimmel will also retire.
ÖSV confirmed the corresponding media reports to the APA on Friday. In recent years, Tyrolean has served as the “head of high-performance alpine sports” – chiefly of alpine sports.
Rimmel has been traded as the women’s head coach
He will be succeeded in this post by Herbert Mandel, who has returned to the Alpine Division of the ÖSV. The Lower Austrian was already tasked with finding successors to Buacher and Mitter.
Rimmel was considered a contender after Mandel’s appointment. However, Riml rejected the job that had already been offered. A concrete candidate for Puelacher’s successor is men’s slalom chief Marco Pfeiffer.
