Salzburg – Fri Jan 14, 2022 at 4:02 pm
Paul Charner got a coaching job in the youth division of SV Austria Salzburg. The former professional will be jointly responsible for the development of young talent from the U16 squad to the first team in the context of foreseeable training as an individual coach, according to the traditional club.
“An absolute expert in his field,” said new Austrian coaching director Sacha Gashuber, describing the former Premier League player and adding: “I am really happy to have him with us.”
For Charner, the job marks the return of Austrian Salzburg, as the 41-year-old moved from Lower Austria to Salzburg from Vienna Austria in January 2004, and half a year later the former defender went to Norway to join SK Bran.
