Transgender and non-binary girls, young women and youth between the ages of 15 and 21 from all over Austria who want to play music or want to learn to play music can join the Pink Noise camp from 6 to 12 August at the old slaughterhouse Hollabrunn. “By experiencing it in a supportive environment – a safer space – participants can learn the skills on their own – without traditional lessons,” say the organizers.
In order to participate in the workshops offered – from writing songs and various instruments to managing bands and DJing – no previous experience is required. What is required, however, is registration, which is now available at https://pinknoise.or.at/anmeldung/ maybe. If you are interested, we recommend that you register early, as the number of participants is limited.
In the month of August, the camp’s motto is “Express Yourself” and invites you to express your personality and ideas in a creative way. Fresh vegetarian food cooked daily creates the culinary basis for the daily rehearsal sessions with the musicians as the band’s coaches. The final public concert for the established bands at the camp on August 12 is the final event planned.
