The younger brother of American musician Madonna (66 years old) died of cancer at the age of 63 years, his family announced today through a spokesman. The statement said that his husband, British actor Ray Thacker, and others close to him were by his side.
Madonna herself has not yet commented. Only in February 2023, the eldest brother, Anthony Ciccone, died at the age of 66. Madonna, whose real name is Madonna Louise Ciccone, grew up with seven siblings in the US state of Michigan.
Christopher Ciccone followed his sister to New York early in her career. He worked for the singer for years as a personal assistant, dancer, set designer and tour manager. He later worked as a shoe designer and interior designer.
Ciccone wrote a book in 2008 about his life alongside the singer who became world-famous with songs like “Like A Brotherhood” and “Frozen.” At this point, the relationship between the siblings was already tense. The relationship deteriorated further as a result of the publication of the autobiography, “Me and My Sister Madonna,” as American media reported. In 2012, Ciccone mentioned in interviews that they were in contact again.
