On Friday morning, Prince Carl Philippe and Princess Sofia became parents to a little boy for the third time. Until Sunday it was revealed that his name was Julian Herbert Folke, and now they are finally showing him.
A photo of little Julian taken by Carl Philip was shared on the Royal House’s Instagram profile on Sunday afternoon.
– We are so happy and thankful to welcome our third son into the family. This day we and both his big brothers yearn for. Now we look forward to learning and getting to know our new family member, said the third son of a newly married father after having his wife with him.
The newborn boy weighed 3220 grams and was 49 centimeters long.

They were preceded in death by sons, Alexander and Gabriel, born in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
– Respects family
Carolyn Wagle, a Royal House expert, considers the new prince to be handsome and has been given a beautiful name.
– Proud parents have chosen three names – two to honor the family, one especially because they like it, he says, continues:
– Julian shows that Folke is one of the names of Grandfather King, who came from the family of Herbert Sophia, while Carl Philip and Sophia dare to choose from the heart.
Vaughl says there are many expectations around royal names, but he is really encouraged that they choose slightly out of tradition to suit their own tastes.
The prince and princess went home with the newborn baby.
