Britain’s Prince William (38) and Duchess Kate (39) are increasing their social media presence. The couple launched an official channel on the Google YouTube video platform on Wednesday. The couple announced on Twitter: “We are now on Youtube.” The two members of the royals can be seen on official dates as well as encounters with celebrities in a fast-cut 25-second clip, which is intended as a catalyst.
In the future, exclusive videos of the future king and his wife will be shown on the channel. Less than an hour after the announcement, the channel already had around 24,000 subscribers.
In the first clip, William pointed to the camera and told Kate, “Watch what she says, these people are filming everything,” the Duchess laughs and replies, “I know.” Elsewhere, Kate advises her husband not to continue wrapping the letter “R”. The royal couple has been represented on Twitter and Instagram for a long time. Creating your own YouTube platform is a step towards increasing its public visibility even further. Harry, the brother of William and his wife, the Duchess of Megan, abandoned their social media accounts after their withdrawal from the royal family.
