Priscilla Presley She has a sentimental view of her past relationship Elvis Grant. “Elvis poured out his heart for me,” the 78-year-old said in Venice on Monday. “His hopes, his fears, the loss of his mother, which he never got over,” she said. “And I was the one who was really sitting there listening to him and comforting him. That was really our relationship.”
Priscilla is the daughter of a lieutenant. She lived with her family in Germany in the late 1950s, when Elvis was also doing military service at the time. “It was hard for her parents to understand that Elvis was so interested in me and why,” Presley said. She thinks it’s because she was such a good listener. Their mental connection made their relationship at that time.
“love of my life”
The two later married and had a daughter. In 1973 the divorce took place. And even after that, they will have close contact. “He was the love of my life,” said Presley. It was his lifestyle that caused her problems. Elvis Presley died in 1977 at the age of 42.
Priscilla, directed by Sofia Coppola, will be screened at the festival. “It’s very hard to watch a movie about you, your life and your love,” Presley said, crying. “But Sofia did a great job. She did her homework…and I did everything I could for her.”
