Fassbender plays a CIA agent who returns to headquarters after a long-term secret mission. There he faces a former love affair and dangerous new tasks. The film will be directed by British director Joe Wright (Pride and Prejudice, The Darkest Hour). The screenplay comes from writing duo Jez and John Henry Butterworth (“Edge of Tomorrow,” “Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Destiny”).

Clooney and producing partner Grant Heslov serve as producers through their company Smokehouse Pictures.
