Raiders Tirol rewarded themselves with a 45:42 win over Stuttgart Surge in a crazy and tough game.
Coach Jim Herman's team trailed by 10:28 in the second quarter, but managed to cut it to 21:28 before halftime.
As the third quarter began, the real exchange of blows began. At first, the Raiders tied the score at 28:28, and the host Stuttgart increased the lead by seven points before Innsbruck tied it again.
The final quarter starts with the score at 35:35, with the Austrians retaking the lead thanks to a Drag Leder field goal (38:35). The Surge, featuring German NFL player Jacob Johnson, responded by scoring their last points and increasing to 42:38.
The Raiders' redemption, along with Stuttgart's first defeat of the season, came with Richard Weber's PAT (German point after touchdown) with 43 seconds left on the clock.
With the score at 45:42 and a blocked field goal attempt by the home team, the Raiders' seventh win of the season could no longer be taken away from them at the final whistle.
Munich football record
In Week 12, fans will witness a new record: the Munich Ravens beat the Barcelona Dragons 90-0!
The last quarter was particularly impressive, with the Germans scoring 34 points.
Not only is this the highest-ever win for the ELF franchise, but no team in the NFL has ever scored that many points in a single game.
In the United States, the Washington Commanders hold the NFL record with 72 points. This was set on November 27, 1966 in a game against the New York Giants (at that time still using the nickname “Redskins”).
