sYou could hear smooth jazz on Friday at Monroe’s record store in Eisenstadt. Three Styrian residents who became Burgenlanders because of their music have made their first vinyl record.
Marcus Bratossa, Joe Griddle and Sebastian Felber came to Eisenstadt a few years ago to study at the Haydn Conservatory. Two of the musicians are now residents of Eisenstadt. The love of music and similar music style led the three Styrians to form a band. They perform improvised music, with elements of jazz, well suited to introspection, that is, looking into oneself. Only self-composed pieces are performed, and one performance is never the same as the other. During the game, new interpretations of the action in question appear every time.
The three musicians also play in other bands, but this collaboration is a project close to their hearts. It remains to be seen where the journey will take us. Any self-imposed restrictions on musical style should not constitute barriers – freedom in all directions should remain. The “World Lines” album, which is limited to 100 copies only, can be purchased signed at Monroe’s record store on Friday.
