Richarlison gives Brazil its first victory over Serbia

Brazil begins the “Hexa” mission with a triumph. Celicao beat Serbia 2-0 (0-0) in the opening match of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Shortly thereafter, the South Americans finally took the lead: Vinicius Junior pulled in from the left, Milinkovic-Savic made a powerful save – but in front of the feet of Richarlison (63), who scored 1-0.

Brazil goes 2-0, Serbia plays dizzy. Vlahovic (70) almost shocked “Selekau” with a side kick, but Richarlison scored the second goal of the evening.

Vinicus Junior does the preliminary work again, this time with a cross. Richarlison (73 min) takes the ball perfectly with his chest, lies to the side (pictured) and smashes the ball into the net – a dream come true 2-0!

Casemiro (81) almost made it 3-0, but fell short on the crossbar. Teammate Fred (83) found his master in Milinkovic-Savic while Rodrygo (87) tapped just over the bar.

In the end, Brazil earned a deserved 2-0 victory to top Group G ahead of Switzerland.
