Remedy Entertainment announced that they will receive their first two Max PayneRedesigned games for next-generation consoles and PCs.
more of Max Payne Remake
The Finnish game developer has reached an agreement with publisher Rockstar, which still owns the copyright to the series, to bring the original Max Payne and its continuity Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne to reissue it. While the project is currently in the early concept development stages, Remedy has revealed that both games will be released in one bundle for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Series S. According to the announcement, Remedy will develop games using its Northlight game engine (the same engine that Runs a very cool metaphysical shooter Regulations used), with the developer promising to “produce an AAA game”. Will this also include the usual times of crisis?
In any case, Rockstar is more than willing to pay all the money for the production budget, marketing and distribution costs of Max PayneCollection, with compensation thereafter. “We were thrilled when our old friends at Remedy approached us to recreate the original Max Payne games,” Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser said: “We are so impressed with the work the Remedy team has created over the years and can’t wait to run these new releases.” It’s still too early to speculate on a release date – it will likely take some time.
