Sepp Straka faces an emotional rollercoaster at the start of the PGA Championship in Napa Valley, California.
Born in Vienna, he posted five birds in the first round of the Fortinet Championship, but had to accept the same number of losses and return to the club with a round of 72.
This places the Olympian in the field of just 156 participants in 104th place, which he shares with Spanish superstar John Ram, among others. Leading the way is American Chez Reavie, who only needs 65 strokes on the North Field at Silverado Country Club.
