Die GTA Remastered Trilogy (See the rumorsIt should appear for consoles in fall 2021, that’s reports Kotaku Based on information from reliable sources.
According to the report, redesigned versions of Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas are being realized. All three games will be re-released using the Unreal Engine and will offer a mix of “new and old graphics”. A source claiming to have seen some of the games in action, said the graphics reminded them of a heavily modified version of the classic GTA title. The UI of the game is also updated, but it keeps the same classic style. According to Kotaku, the remastered versions should be “as faithful as possible” to GTA games in the PS2 era. The development is supposed to be led by Rockstar Dundee (Scotland).
It is said that plans for the redesigned GTA titles were put on hold last year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Originally, the remaster trilogy should appear alongside the next generation versions of GTA 5 and GTA Online – perhaps even as a “loyalty bonus”. Then plans changed and now the three Remaster titles should appear at the end of October or beginning of November for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PC, Stadia and smartphones — though the PC and smartphone apps will likely be. It may just be ready to launch in early 2022 because developers are currently keeping a close eye on console releases.
The GTA Remastered trilogy has yet to be officially announced.
