Russia threatens retaliation against Japan

The ambassador told Russian news agency Sputnik that Russia is closely monitoring the intensification of Japanese-US maneuvers near its Far Eastern borders. “We continue to warn Tokyo that if this action continues, we will be forced to take countermeasures to avoid military threats to Russia,” the ambassador said.
