Samsung has announced the availability of the 2022 Odyssey Neo G8 (G85NB), Neo G7 (G75NB), and G4B (G40B) gaming monitors. The new 32-inch Odyssey Neo G8 display is the world’s first to feature a curved VA panel with UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, Quantum Matrix technology, a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. In addition, up to 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut is supported. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro is also available.
Samsung relies on Quantum Mini LED technology for the Neo G8. In addition, Quantum HDR 2000 ensures 2,000 nits of brightness and a constant contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. Thanks to CoreSync, CoreLightning on the back and front of the monitor automatically recognizes on-screen colors and displays color-adaptive ambient lighting. In addition, the monitor offers a matte screen and a height-adjustable stand (HAS) including pivot function. VESA compliant mounting is also possible. The Neo G8 was selected as the winner in the Best of Innovation Gaming category at CES 2022. Saeed Morakb also received the Honorable Innovation Award.
Samsung is also expanding its Odyssey gaming monitor lineup with the new Neo G7. This is a 32-inch 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) monitor with a 1000R curved VA panel, 165Hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time (GtG). The Neo G7 offers the same features as its sister model Odyssey Neo G8, including AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Quantum Mini-LED technology, and Quantum HDR 2000 with 2,000 nits of brightness. The CoreSync lighting on the back of the monitor is also used here. Due to the automatic source + switch, the display automatically recognizes the input source when the connected end device is turned on.
The Samsung Odyssey G4B (G40B) is available in both 25-inch and 27-inch models. With a Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), the screen offers a 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time (GtG), and an IPS panel with HDR10 support. The monitor is also compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium and G-SYNC. The convenient HAS, Swivel, Tilt and Pivot functions are also available on the board.
Samsung Odyssey Neo G8, Neo G7 and G4B gaming monitors will be available in stores soon. The manufacturer has not provided any pricing information yet.
