Especially in the springtime, recipes that somehow sparkle with a gorgeous green look really, really good. Yes, theoretically all year round, because we always love it when foods and preparations capture us in their colors. But especially in the spring, when the sun finally tickles the tip of your nose again after a long wait, a little more. This is where our sandwiches with basil and pea cream come in handy and are perfect for the season.
Depending on whether you want to enjoy the cream of peas with basil cold or lukewarm, the method of preparation changes. For the cold option, let the peas thaw and then puree with the other ingredients to form a cream. For the lukewarm option, heat the peas with the shallots and garlic and remove to a boil with the broth, letting it reduce a bit. Depending on the recipe, the amount of liquid to be added also changes. 2 tablespoons for the warm version, about 1 tablespoon for the cold version. However, both options are bright green, which is why you’ll definitely enjoy the sandwich with cream of peas and basil.
And since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, delicious sandwiches don’t have to come on their own. Enjoy a delicious fruit bowl afterwards. How about that mango or our blackberry bowl, for example.
But other tasty sandwich ideas shouldn’t be neglected here either. Here we have picked three specials for you that we guarantee you will love in addition to the sandwiches with basil and cream of peas. look here:

Quick Snack – Basil Basil Cream Sandwich
a description
Perfect for breakfast or as a snack throughout the day: sandwiches with basil and pea cream.
to prepare
-
Peel the shallots and garlic and cut into small cubes. Fry in a little oil and fry until translucent. Add the thawed peas and saute briefly (the pulp should remain cool).
-
Then mix with broth, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and finely chopped basil stalks to a smooth cream (if you like it a little chunky, just mash it briefly). Then spread the cream on the bread, optionally sprinkle with more basil leaves and enjoy. I listen!
