1 day: Flight from Vienna to Olbia and transfer to your hotel on the Costa Smeralda.
Day 2: Enjoy one of Italy's most beautiful coastal roads on your half-day trip along the sophisticated Costa Smeralda today. You pass exotic granite cliffs, white sandy beaches and enjoy an uninterrupted view of the emerald blue sea. Stop at the pretty towns of Porto Cervo, a jet-setting meeting point, and Baia Sardinia, a small fishing town.
Day 3: Today's excursion takes you first to Grotta di Nettuno, a stalactite cave that is one of the island's most stunning natural wonders. In the afternoon you will discover the coral coast with the picturesque port town of Alghero. The former Spanish colony is surrounded by a thick wall and still exudes Catalan flair today. On the way back, stop at the beautiful monastery church of Santissima Trinita di Sacargia.
Day 4: For free use. Optionally, you can take a trip to the pristine mountains of Sardinia. At Orgosolo you will discover magnificent, time-specific frescoes. For lunch, you are invited by the patrons to taste a rustic Sardinian-style lunch: our own ham and pecorino, a delicious lamb stew and roasted suckling pig with Sardinian wine.
Day 5: From the coastal city of Palau, you can take a ferry to La Maddalena Island, one of the most beautiful archipelagos in Italy. You can explore the old town and walk along the panoramic road surrounding the island, which enchants with its white sandy beaches and emerald green sea. Back in Sardinia, you'll discover the prehistoric excavation site Nuraghe La Prisgiona.
Day 6: In the morning you drive through the magnificent landscape of Gallura. Once you arrive in Tempio Pausania, you can explore the old town with the Church of San Pietro and the Rosary Church. In the afternoon you will see the ancient city of Castelsardo in Genoa, which clings to the rock like an eagle's nest. Finally, you will discover Elephant Rock, a rock formed as a result of weathering.
Day 7: For free use. Optionally you can take a trip to Corsica. In the morning, you will take a bus to the northern tip of Sardinia, and from there you will take a ferry to Bonifacio, in Corsica. The beautiful natural harbor and charming old town make the place on the southern tip of Corsica worth seeing. After the visit we return to Sardinia.
Day 8: Transfer to the airport and return to Vienna.
