Technology Company Rotator Celebrates its 40th anniversary in the United States. The local branch of Lucerne was founded by Bruno Schuert News Emerges. He is the grandson of the company’s founder Heinrich Schuerter.
Bruno Shutter chose Santa Rosa, California as the headquarters for the US headquarters. According to reports, the company was able to benefit from the computer boom in the Silicon Valley there. Schurter provided components for power or operation to computer manufacturers, for example. These areas constantly form the area of his focus.
Shutter’s business is booming in the United States. Last year ended with a record end. A touch screen production facility with Projected Capacitive Technology (PCAP) is also set to open in Santa Rosa this year.
Bruno Shutter returned to Switzerland in 2018 to hand over the management of the US division to Leonard Overholsterer. Now he has created a foundation that supports the active and retired Schurter staff and their families worldwide. This is in line with what Schurter calls the “European” approach to corporate culture. To this end, Schurter has already been named “the best place to work” by the North Bay Business Journal.
Today, the Schurter Group comprises 21 companies in 17 countries. These are integrated from three centers in Lucerne, Santa Rosa and Singapore. In total, Schurter employs about 2,000 people. The company is headquartered in Lucerne. SSP
