Schwarzler won his first men’s doubles title at the age of 17

Vorarlberger, together with Czech Dominik Kielovsky, won the final against his top-seeded compatriot David Pichler from Burgenland and Slovakian Milos Karol with a score of 3: 6, 6: 3 and 10: 4 in the tie-break match.

However, in singles, the well-founded hope of the red-white-red participating in the ITF M15 clay-court final in Lower Austria did not come true – the Austrians were eliminated in the semifinals there. Second-place finisher Pichler (ATP 511) lost to Russian great Marat Sharipov (ATP 521) 4:6, 4:6, fourth-place finisher Neil Oberleitner (ATP 532) tied against Croatian Mate Dodig (ATP 646) with Luxor 6:2 , 3: 6, 2: 6. The final between Dodig, who is now training with former local player Gilbert Schaller, and Sharipov takes place on Sunday from 10:00.
