Matthias Schweigover was a guest on Thursday on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” When broker Fallon presented him with an article on the Internet in which he was referred to as “German Justin Timberlake,” the actor said, “I don’t know anymore if someone called me that or if I said it myself.” The comparison came because he was a good, albeit shy, dancer, Schweigover explained. As proof of this, he danced with Fallon in the studio.
On the talk show broadcast Thursday (local time), the 40-year-old presented his new movie “Army of Thieves”, in which he participated as a director and lead actor. “I’m so glad you made it big in America now and we can see how charming and talented you are,” Fallon said. The Anclam-born actor was proud that his humor was also understood in the United States. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, he was passionate about American sitcoms, and dubbed “The Prince of Bel-Air” as a favourite.
The romantic thriller “Army of Thieves,” the prequel to the zombie movie “Army of the Dead,” was released Friday by streaming provider Netflix.
