After the first round of the second slalom in the Czech city of Spindlermühle, the part-time leader was again Michaela Schiffrin. She set a time of 44.66 seconds, just one distance short of Stenmark’s World Cup record.
Lena Dürr (Germany) was again second (+0.67sec), closely followed by youngster Zrinka Ljutic (CRO), who again showed a good performance (+0.85sec).
Wendy Holdener (SUI), Shiffrin’s World Cup slalom competitor, has no chance of winning after a critical error shortly before the end (+6.2sec). This also gives Shiffrin the chance to overhaul his mini slalom today.
ÖSV women are again far behind
There is still no reversal in trend among the Austrians, who have to wait for a sense of accomplishment after this Tour. The best ÖSV lady is Katarina Huber in 13th place after the first run (+2.05 seconds).
Katharina Liensberger, who is currently missing a lot of time at the top, has not made any improvement either. In the end, Linsberger finished 22nd (+2.47). The other Austrians: Francesca Grech was 20th (+2.47sec) and Katharina Troupe 23rd (+2.57sec). Marie-Therese Spurrer was eliminated.
The second round starts at 12.15, again in our live tape >>>
