With two strong performances, our U18 and U15 teams showed Graz’s limits. Despite a good start and lead, the U16s had to concede defeat by a narrow margin of 2:3 in the end. After the international break, matches against the Salzburg Academy await us.
AKA SK Rapid U18 – AKA SK Sturm U18 5:1
The U18s showed once again how good a team they are. It was actually a one-goal game in the first half, as Nicky Wurmbrand moved into midfield with a quick shot from the left and finished at the short corner. Virtually every other attack went through the scorer. Yasin Mancan missed from a good position, Ensar Music failed to keep his goal, and Nicky Wurmbrand himself missed a short corner by centimeters and found his counterpart in the opposition goalkeeper – chances like a conveyor belt. After the break, Niki Wurmbrand blocked a back pass, which was passed by the goalkeeper and a penalty kick was awarded. Musi Ibrahimoglu took over and brought the score to 2-0. What followed was reward for the strong performance so far. After a corner kick, Wenzel Lindmoser went for a side kick and brought the score to 3-0 – a dream goal. The next thing came almost immediately: another corner kick, another putback, this time by Lucas Haselmeier, but the goalkeeper was there brilliantly. The guard was defeated shortly afterwards. Ensar Music measured 20 meters and sent the ball perfectly into the corner to make it 4-0. In the final stage, the Green-Whites slowed down by a factor or two, and Sturm managed to make the result cosmetic, but our guys quickly raised the score again. An outside instep pass from Ensar Music finds the front of Graz and Philipp Moizi. The conclusion was correct, 5:1. A very clear result and it was more than deserved, even in terms of the amount.
