The Austrian technical women can look forward to their first podium of the season and a solid result for the team in the final race of the year in Linz.

Katharina Linsberger finished second in the home slalom in only the second race after contracting the coronavirus. The world champion has only to concede defeat to top candidate Petra Flova (SVK) by 0.51sec and take the podium for the first time this winter. For Velhova, this is the 23rd World Cup victory, and she also leads the World Cup in slalom.

Katharina Troup takes fourth place behind Michel Gisin (SUI/+). Similar to RTL, Carinthian has been catching up in the final competitions and has finished nine places with the fastest time.

Even Katharina Galhuber improved by 13 places and had a solid ÖSV score with 6th.

Katharina Hopper and Mary Therese Sporer are 15th and 17th, and Kiara Meyer is 23rd.

The big absentee is Michaela Shiffrin, who was forced into quarantine after testing positive for Covid. The American won the last two races in Linz, in 2017 and 2019. Winners List >>>
