In November and December, concerts from the “SoloTogether” series are again on the program at the ORF RadioKulturhaus: on Monday 20 November (8 p.m.), pianist and composer Verena Zenner and oud player David Bergmüller will be guests in Studio 3. For Verena Zinner, improvisation is at the center of her artistic work, and the examination of movement and body work is closely linked to the creation of her music. In her new show, she presents her own compositions from recent years as well as new pieces that will be premiered at the “SoloTogether” concert on November 20 (8pm) at the ORF RadioKulturhaus. In this concert you will meet oud player David Bergmüller. Bergmüller describes the music he chose for his solo collection as “music that makes our ears grow”. In recent years, the Tyrolean has worked his way up to become one of the most sought-after oud players; In 2018 he was appointed to the prestigious position of Professor of Oud at the Cologne University of Music.

On Tuesday 12 December (8pm) Max Gayer and Willy Landel will be guests on “SoloTogether”. Max Gayer writes, composes and sings on the tracks “5/8erl in Ehr’n” and “Sad Francisco”. His artistic work always moves in the field of tension between what is and what can be. For him, song is always at the forefront in terms of form and content, and there are no limits to genre. Willie Landell is a songwriter and songwriter. His music, between art songs, pop songs and German-language songs, is not afraid of emotional closeness and yet never becomes pathetic, it is humorous but never comedic, sometimes deep but never heavy.
