Today, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment released a new developer diary that takes a behind-the-scenes look at the highly anticipated third-person shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and gives some insight into the work. This Dev Diary also features a bunch of brand new gameplay footage!
From Clive Standen, who plays Lieutenant Titus, to the art team, developers, and QA teams, today’s video tells the story of the team’s commitment to delivering a game that lives up to its predecessor, meets fan expectations, and… does justice to the immeasurable scale of warfare in the 41st millennium. The millennium. Whether it’s the brutal efficiency of the Space Marines, the game’s gigantic environments, or the unique technology behind the Tyranid swarms… every aspect of the development of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 represents the culmination of what Sabre and Focus have been doing for many years and across many titles,” said Creative Director Tim Willetts.
The Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Open Beta has been cancelled!
Developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment confirmed the cancellation of the public beta in an update on Steam. They claimed that holding the beta as originally planned would have served as a distraction for the game's developers as they prepared for the already delayed release of Space Marine 2 in September.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 9, 2024.
