After “Squid Game” was a must for all series fans in 2021, it has now been confirmed that a second season will be appearing in the next few years. And that’s not all, because you can already look forward to the third season, which has just been put in the room by creator Hwang Dong-Hyuk.
Just one month later, the Korean series “Squid Game” (“Squid Game”) was broadcast over 1.65 billion hours, making it the most-watched title of all time on Netflix. Due to the huge success, director Hwang Dong-Hyuk did not want to write a sequel at first. This is justified by the huge expectations that are now falling on him.
However, it has been changed and the second season is officially confirmed. It is likely that the new episodes will be published in 2023, but unfortunately there is no official information yet. So far we can only speculate on the content of the second season, but it is clear that the main characters such as Seong Gi-Hu (the winner of the game) and Hwang Joon-ho (a Korean policeman, whose brother is the former winner and organizer of matches) in the second season of “Squid Game” .
In an interview, Hwang Dong-hyuk admitted that he was already negotiating the third season of “Squid Game” with Netflix. What this means for you is that you can still watch a lot of the most popular K-series footage.
By the way, it would be nothing new for Netflix to order several seasons at once, after two more seasons of Netflix’s second most successful series “Bridgerton” (626 million hours streamed) were ordered before the second season came out.
