Fans of classic Star Wars games can expect an unexpected return of an old title. Star Wars: Bounty Hunter comes as a new release for all current platforms.
Star Wars Outlaws is the next big sci-fi title from Ubisoft, but you can make the wait even better with a classic game. In a completely unexpected move, Lucasfilm Games and Aspyr today announced the return of the old Star Wars: Bounty Hunter game, which originally released in 2002 for the GameCube and PlayStation 2.
Now comes an updated version of the action game, which will be available starting August 1, 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam). The Aspyr title is now a fully remastered version with platform-specific features, achievements, and more.
For example, there will be significantly improved environments and new lighting effects, and the PS5 will also support the DualSense controller with special features such as the use of adaptive trigger effects and light bar support. If you complete the game 100%, you can also unlock the famous Boba Fett character as a true Star Wars fan.
As a refresher, the game basically tells the story of Jango Fett and how he was chosen to work for Darth Tyranus before becoming a planner for the Clone Army of the Republic. Some famous Star Wars locations are also visited in the game, which is essentially a third-person shooter with some adventure elements.
